I know what it’s like to feel like you have to hide a big part of you…

I remember the binary thinking that convinced me that some part of me was wrong, abnormal, and needed to be tucked away. I can recall the paleness I felt living a life that didn’t resonate, a life I wouldn’t choose for myself. I covered up my beautiful, unique palette of colors to conform to the hopes, dreams, beliefs, and ideas of the loudest and most influential voices in my life.

The journey to discover, claim, love, and engage my one-of-a-kind array of colors involved embracing a basic lesson from the field of physics. The renowned Sir Isaac Newton was the first to discover that white light is actually made up of a spectrum of colors. In fact, light IS color – a wide range in fact – containing the well-known colors of the rainbow (ROYGBIV)! What our brains see as the true color of an object is really just the reflection of a particular wavelength of color!

Let that sink in for a moment. Without light, there is no color! When you cloak your true self in secrecy, cover and hide parts of who you are, or shield your truth in the shadows of what others believe or advise, your color gets washed out, camouflaged among the vivid hues around you. I know well what it feels like to live in a world of grey, afraid of the colors within. Once I decided I was ready to start coloring outside the lines that once constrained me, I began to cherish every hue in my authentic palette. I discovered that what I thought was my weakness was actually my strength. I learned that only in the light can you glow.

Color Your Life Coaching was born from that premise.

As a professional coach, my approach is simple – partner with you to better understand the colors you’ve been hiding, remove and neutralize the internal and external obstacles that have dampened your vibrancy, and structure a process that allows you to sketch a future in living color.

Although I may collaborate with you on a wide range of issues, some of the more common areas of focus for me include:

  • Mapping personal or professional change and/or transitions, especially career shifts.
  • Navigating family, friend, or romantic relationships.
  • Clarifying and claiming your purpose, passion, and values.

We aren’t meant to live in black and white. Life is so much more rich and full when you live in color. The world needs your vibrancy. Together, let’s claim your radiant color and starting living on your own terms.
